In nearly 20 years as a journalist, Pete Croatto’s has amassed bylines in such prestige publications as Grantland, the New York Times and Rolling Stone, among others. December 1, 2020 will see the launch of his first book, From Hang Time to Prime Time: Business, Entertainment and the Birth of the Modern-Day NBA. He’s also a columnist for The Writer, where he dispenses practical advice for aspiring freelancers. I spoke to Pete in November, 2020 about his professional journey from wanting to be the next Roger Ebert to becoming a full-time freelancer and published author.
